I love home tours and being able to see all the different ways people decorate their homes. So, come along with me as we visit seven of my favorite blogger’s homes and see all their fall decorations .
Vanessa over At The Picket Fence talks about how getting out the fall decorations heralds the start of the fall season for her. And just like when she was a little girl, her daughter now eagerly awaits the inaugural lighting of the orange ceramic pumpkin candle holder that used to belong to her Mom. I enjoyed touring her beautiful home, but more than that, I loved hearing the story of what the season means to her.
Kristen from Ella Claire decided to simplify her fall decor this year by bringing in “simple fall touches” from outside and from her garden. She added pops of color by bringing in branches from outside and sunflowers that Kristen and her daughter found at the side of the road.
Deb from Seeking Lavender Lane likes using a neutral palate to decorate her home. She does enjoy changing her decor for each season though, so for fall this year she added copper mugs, pears and pumpkins to warm things up.
I love the colors Doreen of Hymns & Verses chose for her fall decor. She started out with shades of plum, eggplant, and berry and added foliage, flowers and pillows in those shades. I love the way this looks with the shades of grey and silver that she uses to decorate her home. To this she added just a touch of green and then white pumpkins to top it off.
Over at Refresh Restyle, decorating for the seasons is simple and inexpensive. Debbie uses items she already has as the basis for her decor each season. She then adds things found at thrift stores and her own DIY projects. For her fall decorations this year she chose colorful mums, sunflowers, and painted white pumpkins which adds the perfect touch.
Nina Hendrick used flower bouquets in the fall shades of yellow, green, and white and then added in apples and red berries in the dining room for an additional pop of color. The colors looked wonderful against the warm wood tone of her dining room table as well as in her beautiful white kitchen.
Rachel of Maison de Pax added a few simple touches to take her home from summer decor to the more cozy decor of fall. By adding greenery, white pumpkins and baskets along with crocheted throws and pillows, she was able to give her home a light, bright look while at the same time making it more cozy for the cooler weather ahead.
I hope you enjoyed all the homes decorated for fall. I’m not doing a lot of fall decorating this year, but I did get some ideas that I want to try. The rain has returned. I know, what’s new for the Pacific Northwest, so adding some “pops of fall color” to my decor might just lighten up the fall gloom.
